Star Bounty slot by Pragmatic Play is not quite what it seems as we will soon learn. The theme is space adventure and not childish which is good, we have an alien world as the background and hexagonal symbols with characters or shapes and some adventure music to listen to. Hexagonal tiles have been done a few times, with Play'n Go's large hex grid on Honey Rush slot and the cosmic theme too on their Space Race slot game but for this theme I reckon the outstanding 2027 ISS slot by Endorphina beats the rest. So it be stellar disappointment for our bankroll here or can we see it go into orbit?
On The Reels...
We have a 4096-way slot here with 6 reels of 4 rows so despite the hexagonal tiles Star Bounty slot is not a cluster pay game! Symbols can appear stacked and like most Megaways slots, the winning symbols disappear to be replaced from above. You have 3 sets of symbols, high pays which are the red, purple, green and blue characters paying 15, 10, 5 and 5x respectively for 6-of-a-kind. Mid-pays are shapes of the same 4 colours paying 3x and 2x while the low pays are 4 card values all paying 1x for a full way of 6. There is a Wild symbol on reels 2-6 and you can get a Missile Wild on reels 2, 3 and 4 which will blast a random number of tiles, turning them Wild too. Your final symbol is the free spins scatter on all 6 reels.

There is a weird trigger here, because when you get the 3 scatters, there begins a series of re-spins with the triggering ones held in place. You get one for each scatter, so begin with 3 and add extra spins for any more you collect during the re-spins. The most you can get is a full screen, or 24 in other words. No retriggers here or extra spins, but if you get the any Wilds in this bonus, they can randomly have 2x or 3x multipliers overlaid which multiply each other, hence the volatile nature of this slot and 10,000x potential!

Star Bounty slot is a colourful game with nice graphics and sounds with good animations, plus a very good 96.60% RTP. The base game can go on nice little rolls of successive wins via the cascades but the free games are where the action is at. You get the mini re-spins game to decide the amount and then hope those Wild multipliers land on 3 or 4 reels, as when they do you get big bucks here. Travel to these faraway stars and you may well indeed return with a handsome bounty...
