Vault Cracker slot by Red Tiger has somehow made a theme centred around bank vaults look childish. Fortunately this wasn't the case with previous games of this genre like Microgaming's Break Da Bank Again or more recently BTG's Royal Mint slot. Alternatively, Betsoft's Heist slot has possibly the best graphics of these three, compared to this slot's rather cheesy music, cartoon pigs and background of the blueprints to a vault. So can this game prove to be a cracker for our bankroll or will it remain in this vault forever?
On the reels...
There are 10 lines over 5 reels of 3 rows here on Vault Cracker slot with single and stacked symbols. Your 5-of-a-kinds are 10x bet Cash Bag, 6x Necklace, 3x Piggy Bank, 2.5x Pistol with five card values from 2x down to 0.4x bet for a full line. The other symbols are Safes which are explained below.
Safes
You can land Steel, Bronze or Gold Safes on the reels which will contain cash amounts. In the case of Steel they can contain up to 5x bet, Bronze they can contain up to 15x and Gold up to 30x. You need the Hold Up Artist on reel 5 to get their contents.
If the Heist Master lands on reel 3, you get all safes held and a re-spin of the other positions, until no more Safes appear. If no further Safes appear, they all open to reveal a cash prize. If you land all 15 Safes, they open and then you get the Diamond Multiplier of 2 to 10x activated on your total. There is also a second chance on this feature whereby a wheel spins and if it lands on the green segment it retriggers. This segment gets smaller each time so it's more likely you'll land on red and end the round.
Our View...
With no Wilds or scatters Vault Cracker slot is naturally centred around the Safe features. It's low volatility with a low RTP of 94.84% although this can be 1% higher at other casinos. The top prize in game testing was a mere 1410x bet so this tells us the low feature potential here. The game is quite irksome to listen to for long periods with mediocre graphics and animations. The Heist Master is the best feature obviously and usually pays at least a few tens times-bet. If that's all you've got to look forward to here, I say vault over the wall and find something else to play...
