Tiger Rush slot summary
Tiger Rush slot is a quite simple yet reasonably entertaining game from our friends in Sweden, Thunderkick Gaming. We have hints of Netent's Starburst here alongside WMS' Jungle Wild with an unusual curved edge to the reels and a background of jungle greenery over which we hear gentle drums along with the mighty roar of the Tiger when he appears. This Tiger is very important here as we shall soon discover, so let's hope he isn't too hungry when he sees our bankroll.
On the reels...
Icons are stacked here as we only get 10 paying lines which count both right-left and left-right and as usual there are two types of symbols, pictures and low values. The 5-of-a-kind pays are 15x bet for the Bird picture and 10x for the Flower picture and those are the only two picture icons. The remainder are five different coloured carved gems with the yellow at 5x, green 2.5, red 1.8, blue 1.6 and finally pink 1.4x for a full line. These gems actually look very much like jelly beans though!
Wild Tigers
Your Tiger appears on the centre 3 reels and like Starburst you will see it expand, pay any wins and then remain in place for a respin. Should another appear then wins are paid and then another respin occurs, so you could get 3 respins in total with the final one having all centre 3 reels Wild. This is where the main chance of big wins occurs.
Free games
On reels 1 and 5 you will see the game's logo which acts as the scatter. Land both of these you get 5 free games which can be retriggered but you can also trigger them with a single scatter adjacent to a Wild Tiger reel which will also land you 5 spins. Therefore you could also gain 10 or even 15 spins if you had scatters 1 and 5 with Wilds on 2 and 4. There is a decent enhancement too - during the free games the centre 3 reels expand to 5 rows high and your pay lines increase to 25. Thunderkick claim that if you got the perfect feature you could win up to 1750x bet!
Our View...
Tiger Rush slot isn't a bad game to play at all and although you won't win huge amounts it can award base game wins of 50-100x bet relatively frequently although the free games seldom pay that much. The graphics and sounds are easy and don't irritate the player but due to the game mechanic it will never be a particularly exciting slot to play for any length of time. Your RTP here is pretty typical of Thunderkick at 96.30% which is around average for most new slots but alone is no reason to play Tiger Rush.
