Prism Blast slot by Scientific Games (WMS) is a low-tech game with retro symbols and is possibly the first attempt at a Netent Starburst-type slot from this developer. We get funky synth music as we spin with zappy sounds as wins land, otherwise the game is plain with transparent reels over an astral background. Play'n Go have made Starblast, so we've seen their version of this mechanic and Netent actually improved the idea with Berryburst. There are 20 fixed paying lines here and symbols can be stacked or single. Not a lot happens on Prism Blast but you can see some decent wins in the base game. The 5-of-a-kind pays are 30x stake for the Rainbow Wild, 25x 7's, 20x Bar, 15x Cherry, 10x Lemon with 4 neon shapes all paying 5x for a full line. That's pretty much it, but at least we do get one modifier.
Randomly, one to 15 Wilds can be placed on the grid and you get just one respin. 15 Wilds would be the game's maximum pay at 600x, possibly over if you had many at once then got the remainder on a respin. You only get one respin even if more Wilds appear on the initial respin.
Despite its simplicity, you get a bright and colourful game here although the music soon gets irritating. Big wins are rare and playing ot too long is simply death by a thousand cuts for your balance, unless very fortunate. Having said that, you get a 95.10% RTP or 97.10% if the Minor, Major and Epic 'Must Drop By' jackpots are in play at your casino. I wouldn't say I had a blast playing this, but then again I wouldn't playing any of the equivalent slots from other developers...
