NextGen Gaming secures Judge Dredd slots licensing deal
Online slots developer NextGen Gaming announced that it had secured the licensing rights to release a slots title based on the popular Judge Dredd comic character.
Judge Dredd first became a hit with comic fans across the globe when he was introduced as a character back in 1977 as part of the 2000 AD comic book series in the UK. Ever since, Dredd has built a firm fan base around the world and has even been the subject of a hit sci-fi movie released back in 2012 directed by Pete Travis and starring Karl Urban.
NextGen Gaming now possesses the rights to release a series of slots based on the Judge Dredd character that will be available for release on the NYX Open Gaming System platform.
Commercial Director of NYX Gaming Group David Johnson stated “Judge Dredd’s infamous no-nonsense style of law and order married with NextGen’s proven premium, repeat play slots expertise will make for quite the summer blockbuster title.”
Johnson added “The initial slot game will be available across our industry’s widest distribution network, and initially to our NYX OGS partners.”
NextGen Gaming are renowned for releasing a wide range of themed slots with the hilarious Napoleon Boney Parts slot and the high octane Evel Knievel slot just two examples of this versatility.
The Judge Dredd series of slots are expected to be made available for both online and mobile platforms with bingo releases also confirmed to be made available on the market.
