Fruit Spin slot summary
Fruit Spin slot takes a simpler view of things as is the case with many similar games by this developer, such as Secrets of Atlantis and Dracula which use this stacked-icons format. We get a transparent reel-set over a plain background of blue triangles and some factory music in the background with a little trumpet blast if any wins land. The icons allude to older fruit machine ones which you may see featuring on some online 3-reeler games, but surely Fruit Spin cannot be as plain and unexciting as those slots?

Everything is easy here as we have a range of icons all appearing in stacks of 1 to 4 rows high, which is good as we have 5 reels of 4 rows each and 40 pay lines for which we pay 20 coins. Purple 7's pay best at 15x bet for 5-of-a-kind and then triple Bars, Double Bars and single Bars 10, 5 and 3x respectively. You don't get card values but instead some nice glass fruits offering 2x for the Cherries and 1x for the four other fruits. There are no Wilds which makes it look a bit disappointing but they do appear in the bonus round. You get a 3x3 block scatter which can appear anywhere, either in part or in full.
Lucky Wheels bonus
I would be pushed to describe this feature as 'lucky' - when the block scatter appears either in full, with 2 rows in view or just the one in view you are taken to a screen with 3 overlapping wheels. Each row awards one spin of all 3 wheels simultaneously. There are 4 possible outcomes on each, 1x bet, 2x bet, 4x bet or a red free spin Ruby. You have a meter to fill above the wheels with 3 Rubies which when filled awards 5 free spins. This means you can potentially fill it with just one row of scatters and one wheel spin if all 3 wheels land as Rubies. Once it's full, any further Rubies add a single free spin to the 5, thus with a 'perfect' full 3 wheels spins you can get a maximum of 9 free games.
You can retrigger the games if another block of scatters appears fully or partially in view, but this time the wheels only have 1x bet or +1 spin on them. I did mention the Wilds above and if the free games there is a 3x3 block Wild which can only land fully in view. You'll find it does usually land once in each free spins bonus.

Fruit spins slot is one of the few games that have instilled a feeling of hopelessness in me from the first 20 or so spins. Any base game wins are infrequent so I had long 'dead' runs before some paltry win dropped in. It immediately became apparent that once 50 or more credits down from my starting balance, it would be nigh on impossible to recover it despite a decent RTP of 96.84% and the potential for a 600x hit for a full screen of 7's. The Lucky Wheels bonus doesn't even guarantee you'll get the rather pathetic free spins anyway, and the dreadful cash values if you don't are simply insulting. Despite their glossy appearance, the fruits here are rotten inside...
