El Dorado Infinity Reels slot by ReelPlay is a weird and wonderful Aztec or Inca-themed game with a unique new trademarked mechanic called 'infinity Reels'. Whether this become the new Megaways remains to be seen, but we start off with a small grid over a background of jungle pasture with stone reels and South American native music to play to. Interestingly, iSoftBet used this theme on their first ever Megaways, Aztec Gold as did Relax Gaming with Temple Tumble Megaways and Blueprint's Temple of Treasure Megaways is the other game to use it. So will we find gold for our bankroll in El Dorado or could our losses be infinite too?
On The Reels...
We pay 20 coins on El Dorado Infinity Reels slot and you get 3 reels initially of 4 tiles each. Wins need to be from left to right and involve 5 or more symbols which appear stacked with blanks between them. The pays are the same regardless of amount which may sound odd but you'll see why! Gold Aztec is 5x bet, Red 4x, Blue or Green 3x, with 6 coloured gems paying either 2x for the top three or 1x for the bottom three in value. Wilds can appear in the form of a Rainbow Aztec Chief and scatters are Gold Temples. The Infinity Reels is where it's at though!
Infinity Reels
Any win will activate a fourth reel on the grid and that reel spins and a 2x multiplier is created. If it adds to the same symbols of the original win which are frozen, then the fifth reel spins and you are on a 3x multiplier and so-on. There is no limit to the reels or multiplier and if you're wondering about needing a monitor or screen ten feet wide to display it, the game only shows the last 3 reels in play as you go! If you get 12 or more reels added, you get a 888x bet jackpot prize!
Free Games
You need 5 or more gold Temple scatters in view to trigger 10 free games. Like with Big Time Gaming's Holy Diver, you can choose to not take them and carry on for a higher level. You can opt to store and refuse the bonus three times and must use the spins on the 4th. Level. If you do, instead of getting 1x added to your win multiplier for each added reel, you get 2x for Level 2 spins, 3x for each reel on Level 3 etc. You can also try to Level Up by gambling your bonus, but if you lose you get nothing and it's gone for good. In the free spins, the multiplier you reach doesn't reset between games and can only go up. Some big potential here but remember again, those reels add symbols to your win but not to it's value, only the multiplier goes up!

El Dorado Infinity Reels slot has tried to be revolutionary but it will never be the new Megaways. It's simply too cumbersome on the eye and the reel set moving across the screen makes you seasick if you study it too closely. The game is essentially offering an increasing multiplier free spins model like Bonanza, but in a much more convoluted way with less symbol potential and higher multiples. The game looks and sounds good and you can win big on it, ReelPlay have tried to be original here but I'm not sure it'll catch on. The RTP has a range from 95.51% if you always choose Level 1 spins to 96.54% if waiting for Level 4. If you try for the gold of El Dorado, you may need infinite patience...
