Realm of Legends slot summary
Realm of Legends slot by Blueprint Gaming has some nice haunting music reminiscent of my all-time favourite slot music, that of Nexten's Medusa 2 slot. You get a mountainous background here and dramatic noises as the symbols drop in because we are certainly in the world of classic gods here. The game at first sight seems to be Blueprint's answer to Play'n Go's successful grid-based games such as Energoonz slot and Viking Runecraft slot and not bad looking either. So can we get a legendary win for our bankroll here?
On the grid...
There are 7 rows of 7 symbols so a grid of 49 symbols on Realm of Legends slot. Pays are for 5 or more in adjacent clusters with the max pay for 25+. These are for highest and lowest Cyclops 1000x/1.2x bet, Firefly 500/0.8x, Minotaur 200/0.6x, Medusa 100/0.4x with four equivalent-coloured Orb symbols all paying 25/0.2x. Winning symbols are removed and more cascade from above and when you collect certain amounts or winning tiles, you trigger the 4 modifiers in order. Wilds can appear anywhere and these multiply each other if showing a multiplier, which can be from 2-10x.
Modifiers
You can trigger any number of them sequentially if you collect enough winning symbols.
Medusa - 20 symbols collected, all high-pay symbols are turned to stone and remain, low-paying Orb symbols are removed and new tiles replace them before any wins are paid.
Minotaur - 40 symbols, places multiple Wilds onto the grid.
Fire Sprite - 60 symbols, burns off low-pay symbols and grid repopulates.
Cyclops - 80 symbols, the Eye of the Cyclops can upgrade up to 3 or the higher-pay symbols on the grid to Cyclops.
Free Falls
You need to collect 5 Purple Orbs to trigger 7 free games. During these the modifiers have lower triggers, 10, 20, 30 and 40 symbols respectively. You can also retrigger with 5 or more Purple Orbs. If at any point all 49 grid tiles consist of Wilds and/or Bonus Orbs, you get a 1000x bet bonus pay. This can happen in the base game too, but is far more likely in the free falls. Your pay here is limited to 20,000x bet for the round.
Our View...
Realm of Legends slot is eye-wateringly volatile with a low win frequency and hard to get even medium-sized wins in the base game, hard to trigger the modifiers and nigh on impossible the free falls. If you persist and get them, they can pay very big indeed and are good to watch but most times the triggering series of wins ends up paying far more then the free falls! The graphics and animations are basic in the game, and the asthmatic gasp of Medusa on every spin becomes a bit tiresome too as does the music. You get a 96.00% RTP and if not getting features you can easily lose 150 or more times stake in 200 spins. You really need to be brave with your bucks to enter this realm...
