Belatra Games was established in Belarus in 1993 and started out by developing gaming mechanics for land-based casinos. It was not until the early noughties that Belatra set up its own gaming production operations. As the company grew they moved into the online gaming production space and were producing content from 2015. The company leveraged its knowledge in the land-based casino space and produced online versions of its major titles. Belatra, which is based out of Minsk, Belarus, operates with a team of around 250 employees and functions as a slots developer, manufacturer, studio and platform supplier.
Early success
Some of the earliest Belatra slots were released in the early 1990s and the notable ones include Piggy Bank, Lucky Drink, An Escape from Alcatraz, and Princess of Swamp, among others. However, those games were developed for land-based casinos. The first of the online Belatra slots was released in 2015 and those were online versions of its land-based slots like Piggy Bank, An Escape from Alcatraz, and Princess of Swamp. Some of the slot games that put Belatra on the map as an online slots developer were the ones mentioned above along with the 2022 releases Big Wild Buffalo and Crystal Digger.
Gaming mechanics
Two of the significant gaming mechanics introduced by Belatra Games include the Jackpot System and Diverse Bonus Games. The latter offers interesting bonus round and mini games. A key innovation from the company was offering cryptocurrency support so that players could use digital currencies to play its games. Over the years Belatra Games has won and been nominated for several awards.
Industry recognition
One of the recent awards it won was the Best Slot Design 2024 award at the SiGMA East Europe Gaming Awards for its slot game Mummyland Treasures. The company holds licenses for both online and land-based casinos. Its games are available to players in around 70 nations, with significant popularity in Europe and Latin America.
Belatra’s distributor licenses enable the company to supply it’s games in jurisdictions governed by the Malta Gaming Authority and the regulatory bodies of Curacao and Romania.
