Luck o’ the Irish slot review
You know, in mobile slots, it’d be really nice to see a slot from time to time that takes an idyllic image of Ireland and translates it to the mobile casino: pots of gold, toadstools, leprechauns, pints of Guinness and.....just kidding, there are far too many of them in the world, and they all look the same! We've seen many similar, Barcrest's super-poular Rainbow Riches mobile slot comes to mind as one obvious example
On the Reels...
Highly-regarded developer Blueprint Gaming are the latest culprits with their 5 reel mobile slot, Luck o’ the Irish (you know it’s authentic because they have left the ‘f’ off ‘of’. Just as Ash Gaming’s Leprechaun's Luck, there are the aforementioned Guinness, pots of gold, etc etc, here but the game is played out over 40 paylines.
The Symbols
The Guinness is Wild, and substitutes for all regular symbols in the game other than the Scatters. Five Wilds across the reels pays a $4,000 jackpot. Elsewhere on the reels are a lucky horseshoe, a four-leaf clover, and the usual 9-through-Ace symbols. The Pot of Gold comes as a Stacked Wild for extra wins, and it too substitutes for all symbols other than the Scatters.
Earn 5 Free Spins with Replicating Symbols
Three or more Luck o’ the Irish symbols awards a bet win plus 5 free spins. These are no ordinary free spins, however. When you start the Lucky Gold coin comes into play. The coin will spin on-screen and the symbol it lands on at random will be replicated across the reels.
Our View...
Luck O’ the Irish is never going to win any prizes for originality but, as with many Celtic-themed slots, it comes packed with bonus features. The free spins are fairly easy to hit, and the Stacked Wilds in the base game add a nice extra dimension to play. As mentioned at the top of the review, Ash Gaming’s Irish-themed Leprechaun’s Luck is a worthy mobile alternative to this game, while Playtech’s virtually identical trip into fiddly-diddly slots, Irish Luck, is definitely worth a look.
