Master of Atlantis slot from Blueprint Gaming isn't complicated at all which actually makes a pleasant change from them constantly releasing either Megaways slots like Genie Jackpots and Primal or endless copies of their 20-line mechanic used in Ted and Austin Powers etc. We have a transparent reel set over an undersea background depicting the mythical lost city of Atlantis with the soundtrack of bubbling water and gentle music to spin to. The theme is more cartoon than a serious mythology one you usually see when Atlantis is mentioned in the title, so is our bankroll set to disappear into the sea too?
Master of Atlantis slot displays 5 reels and 4 rows with 40 fixed pay lines with the picture symbols stacked and single card values and Wilds. The pays for the 5-of-a-kind wins compared to the 50-coin bet are the Wild or Game Logo at 20x, Kraken or Shark 10x, Treasure or Pearl 8x with six card values at either 6, 4 or 2x for a full line. Poseidon God bonus scatters appear on all reels as do stacks of mystery symbol bubbles when Atlantis randomly throws his trident onto the grid. That's pretty much it, aside from an odd free games bonus.
If you see 3, 4 or 5 Poseidon scatters you trigger a short and weird free games bonus. Depending on whether you trigger with 3, 4 or 5 scatters you get 1, 2 or 3 spins of a special grid only displaying blanks or Tridents. There is a scale on the right showing you a value for the amount you collect over the 20 positions on the special reels. All 20 gives a value of 100x bet, 15-19 20x and this goes down to 6x for 10 or just 1x for 5. This is just the first part though. You will now be given 5 spins on another grid and any Trident appearing anywhere will award that amount x bet. So if your Trident value after the first grid was say 6x and you landed a total of 11 Trident scatters in your 5 free spins, you'd have been paid 66x bet as the final return. Brilliant, Blueprint.
Master of Atlantis slot is utter tedium to play. You could win 800x bet for a full screen of stacked game logos but in reality the game is dull and tiresome, and looks stupid too. The 96.32% RTP is moot as I doubt anybody would play it very long. The free games are utterly pointless if you don't get a 4, or preferably 5 scatter trigger. Your only chance of a good free games bonus is the extremely unlikely event of getting 20 Tridents on the preliminary grid and thus getting 100x bet for each that landed in the subsequent 5 spins. Any chance of me returning to this slot, like Atlantis, has sunk without a trace...
