Sweet Success Megaways slot review
Sweet Success Megaways slot by Blueprint Gaming is double disappointing and I'll explain why shortly. It's not the juvenile sound effects, theme or appearance although that's bad enough in itself. It's a clone of their Deal or no Deal Megaways slot which has a major concern in itself. It uses the same basic mechanic as many of their other Megaways editions such as their first one Diamond Mine which is their copy of Bonanza anyway. The reels lie over a pink background which adds to the juvenile appearance, so will we get our bankroll sugared here?
On The Reels...
You get 6 reels with a scrolling line of 4 symbols above the centre reels on Sweet Success Megaways slot. This gives 324-117649 ways a spin with tiles single and stacked and winning ones removed to be replaced by new ones from above. The top 6-of-a-kind pay is the Game Logo at 50x bet, Red Lolly 5x, Blue Disc or Green Sweet 2x with five card values paying either 1 or 0.8x for each full way. The single Wilds can only appear on the scrolling reel and you see no scatters because the bonus is triggered progressively You get random Super Sweet Mystery symbols on some spins too.
Pick 'n Mix Game
As there are no scatters, we require 4 or more winning actions on any one spin to trigger the Pick'n Mix feature.
You get a Standard, Super or Mega Pick'n Mix game for 4, 5 or 6+ consecutive wins when you trigger. The prizes are 1 to 10x cash in the blue ladder on the left and 8 to 20 free games in the red ladder on the right. You pick 5 wrapped sweets initially with groups of 3 afterwards. The game offers you either cash or free spins as you go depending on how lucky or unlucky you are in eliminating bad or good Sweets first. Always take the free spins if offered, because you'll get offered really trashy cash awards otherwise, but there's no guarantee you'll get offered spins at any stage. You get 5 or 10 extra spins if you see 3 or 4 bonus scatters in any one spin, which have now been added to the scrolling reel above. You get more Mystery Symbols too in the free games.
Sweet Success Megaways slot has a player's pet slotting hate of not guaranteeing the free spins after waiting to trigger the bonus. This alone makes it unplayable for me aside from the tedious and irritating sounds, music and appearance. Why they had to release this at the same time as DonD Megaways which is exactly the same, I really don't have a clue. The RTP is alright at 96.06% and of course it has potential in both the base game and free spins if you're lucky enough to trigger them. Then again so do the other Megaways slots. This game certainly left a sour taste in my mouth...Review by Gamingslots
