Unlike most of their licensed themes such as Ted slot or numerous other film-based games like Austin Powers slot, this is not a 20-liner with lots of features. The game looks pretty plain with the darts arena roof as a background, cheesy music chuntering away and photos of various darts players you've never heard of. Microgaming once made a Bullseye slot based on the hugely popular TV show and somehow managed to mess it up, so will this game hit the bullseye for our bankroll or shall it be bust going for the double?

It's quite a simple game is the World Darts Championship slot, with single symbols, 10 fixed pay lines and 5 reels of 3 rows each. Your 5-of-a-kind pays are quite high with Logo at 200x bet, Flights 100x, Darts or Trophy 50x, Mixed Players 20x and five card values at 10x with no Wilds. The Players are overlaid with cash values of 2-50x bet and are the only symbol that can appear stacked. The final symbol is the Bonus Scatter appearing on all reels and that's it for the base game.

You get 10 for 3-scatters, 15 for 4-scatters and an incredible 180 spins for all 5 scatters! Now dartboards will appear on the reels as a Wild and you get 500x bet for a 5OAK win, but they have another purpose too - each one landing will extract the Players' overlaid cash values and add them to your win bank. Choose either free spins with all Players active or mystery which is more volatile and has only one Player active and a fixed player cash value selected - good if it's say 10-50x but poor if it's only 2 or 3x stake. There's no retriggers and that's that.
Our View...
World Darts Championship slot has a 95.55% RTPN and so the rules tell us, a win cap of 50,000x bet, but don't be fooled as that's a disclaimer on most Blueprint slots - you won't get a tenth of that! It's quite hard to get a bonus here and the 'jackpot' spin as such would be the 5-scatter trigger for 180 free games, get that and you really have hit the bullseye but don't hold your breath. Other than this, the base game is mediocre with few decent hits due to the volatility. I doubt I'll be standing my money on the oche for this slot again...
