It’s Magic slot review
It's Magic slot incurs a bit of optimism with the title as it's while since IGT have produced a slot that's anything like 'magic' to be honest here. The theme is a fairytale one with a background of a secret castle at night and cartoon characters on the reels with gentle fantasy music as we spin. The appearance rather reminds me of their Pixies of The Forest or Miss White games too and those have been quite successful in many land-based casinos. So, for our bankroll will this be magic or tragic?
On the reels...
The grid has 4 rows and 5 reels which is usual for a game of 50 paying lines which we have here. You pay 75 coins for some reason and the symbols are stacked which perhaps explains the abysmally low 5-of-a-kind awards. the Princess pays 400 coins, the Book, Lamp or Chest 150 and the two types of Kittens or Monkey 120 with 5 card values all paying 25 coins for a full line of 5. The Princess pays for just 2-of-a-kind and also adjacent in any position on the reels. There are no Wilds but any fully-stacked reel of 4 identical symbols will transform into a Wild reel for the next spin, with the exception of the Princess.
Lily The Magician
Lily may appear randomly after any base game spin and award a wheel. This awards either disappointing cash prizes in 4 of the 8 segments with the other 4 segments either giving you the Grand or Royal Jackpot. This isn't a progressive but an internal fixed prize like WMS use with Wishing You Fortune with the Grand at 5000 coins (about 67x bet) and the Royal at 100,000 coins or 1333x bet.
The scatter icon is the game logo and appears stacked too on all reels. You need to just 3 in view but they must be on 3 separate reels. You would get 10 free games for just 3 in view, and the scale goes up in small stages to 45 free games if you landed all 20 scatters. The enhancement is bigger stacks thus more chance of Wild reels and you can retrigger the spins in the same manner as the original trigger.
It's Magic certainly isn't 'magic' but a clone of an older IGT slot called Icy Wilds. That was mediocre, albeit original in its mechanic at the time and reasonably playable if you didn't want big wins and were willing to pay for graphics and the promise held by Wild reels. This slot is nothing more than a shelf-filler and after a couple of hundred spins you'll likely find your eyes glazing over too. The RTP is okay at 92.17-96.19% depending where you play it, but alas I won't be getting that far again...
