Scrooge Megaways slot

Scrooge Megaways slot review

scrooge megaways slot gameScrooge Megaways slot by iSoftBet is the latest edition to their Twisted Tales series where the villain is the main person. Old Ebenezer Scrooge was first seen in Dicken's A Christmas Carol back in the 1840's and no child or adult would not have heard his name I suspect. As with others in the series we get an artistic background reflecting the story as with Morgana Megaways slot and of the Victorian era too, Moriarty Megaways slot. If you like the Alice in Wonderland theme we also have Queen of Wonderland Megaways in the collection but this one is the first seasonal game. So what will this Christmas music along with Ebenezer's mocking interjections bring to our bankroll in the way of cash presents?

On the reels...
You can get 3-7 rows on each of the 6 reels meaning 729-117649 ways are possible on Scrooge Megaways slot. I can also tell you now the game is a clone copy of Piggy Bank Megaways by the same developer alas! The top 6-of-a-kind is Scrooge at 25x then various items like Turkey and Hat from 5x down to 2x Hammer then six card values at 1.5x down to 0.5x for each full way. Wilds only land on the centre 4 reels but scatters on all six. Winning tiles are removed and replaced from above in tumbles. You get a random Hauntings of Christmas modifier on some spins which will either add more scatters to the reels or give a full Megaways spin.

Hold and Win Feature
This is a re-spins bonus like you get on numerous iSoftBet slots like Aztec Gold Megaways where the 3 chances reset each time a winning tile is added. Here you need 5 or more Cash Values to trigger it. These have 1 or 2x values displayed usually and will remain in locked in place when the feature begins as will the Megaways from the triggering spin, the more the merrier. The unlocked positions spin and can land blanks or cash values, even one of the fixed Ghost symbols of Past, Present and Future of 10, 25 or 50x. Completing a column earns a multiplier equating to its rows, thus 3 to 7x on it which applies to all cash values and Ghost symbols. The average return for this re-spins feature is 48.5x bet and you can buy it in some jurisdictions for 50x so that's a 97.00% RTP if playing that way.

Our View...
Scrooge Megaways slot has a base 95.98% and is pretty dire if you're looking for decent base game hits. The graphics, sounds and animations are all above average so it's a shame they copied Piggy Bank Megaways and not the more volatile Aztec Gold MW version here. The feature isn't hard to get, it has just over 30% of the game's RTP inside it and we are even told 12,000x is the win cap but I simply fail to understand how even a quarter of that would be possible here given the low volatility of the bonus and best single position pay of 350x in it for Future Ghost on a 7x full column. I am afraid this one is Scrooge by name and Scrooge by nature...
