You need 3 or more scatters which you'll be pleased to know that any Wild type can substitute for. You get 10 for 3, 15 and 20 for 4 or 5 respectively. The stacked Serpent Wild will always fill the whole reel if landing on one of the triggering scatter/Wild reels. You can't retrigger them and if you double your bet, you get a random respin when only 2 scatters appear to increase your chances of a triggering them in the first place. The non-triggering reels are considered inactive and only Single Serpent or Expanding Serpent Wilds can appear on them. Any that do appear on the inactive reels will add 2 extra spins and that reel then becomes active, or hot as Netent call it.
Rise of Maya slot is in my view the best Netent game to be released since Dead or Alive 2. It has good base game potential, huge free spin potential as well as having highly watchable graphics and animations. true, you need to play it at 2x bet to get those free games more frequently which raised the base RTP of 96.12% to 96.42% and with that the free spins can be poor, but get those extra spins and light up all the reels to hot status and just 4 Wilds on the first 4 reels pay well in excess of 1,000x bet.
