Leprechaun Goes Wild slot review
Leprechaun Goes Wild slot by Play'n Go has been developed as a follow-up to their old Leprechaun Goes Egypt game but we'd better hope it's an improvement on that rubbish! So the old tried and tested Irish theme thus no guesses as to the symbols! As we've seen from other slots the leprechaun theme seems to give developers an excuse for some awful games, like Quickspin's Leprechaun Hills and the diabolical offering from WMS, Leprechaun's Fortune. So will our bankroll be going wild after visiting this little green man or disappearing into the proverbial pot of gold at the end of the rainbow?
On The Reels...
We have 5 reels of 4 rows and 20 fixed paylines on Leprechaun Goes Wild slot. The symbols are stacked bar the Leprechaun Wild which is the top pay at 40x bet for 5-of-a-kind, then Pot o'Gold at 20x, Hat 17.5x, Pipe 15x, Beer 12.5x, Horseshoe 10x with five card values at 2x for a full line. No modifiers here but we get a reasonably fun feature for just two scatters in the form of Shamrocks.
Luck of The Irish
A mere 2 Clovers will either reveal a third one and trigger the free games or place one Wild randomly on each of the 5 reels. They also count as Wilds.
So having landed 3 Clovers you get the enlarged 4-leaf Clover which spins to land on either 7, 9, 11 or 15 spins. You get sticky Wilds throughout and should one land on each reel it works a bit like Dead or Alive slot's bonus - you get taken back to the Clover for another spin which adds 3, 5, 7 or 9 extra spins than that's your lot. Play'n Go inform us we can win up to 10,000x bet in this free spins feature.
Leprechaun Goes Wild slot is actually quite good to play despite the annoying music and sounds and inane symbols and appearance. The RTP is reasonable at 96.11% and the base game produces frequent and sometimes decent hits. The free games aren't hard to trigger although with that 10,000x max pay they are more volatile than the look of the slot would suggest! The game doesn't make me wild with enthusiasm but it's worth a few goes on this daft leprechaun...
