On the reels...
There are initially 5 reels of 3 rows each and 243-ways to win on Prism of Gems slot. There is a scroll of 3 symbols over the middle reels but we will come to that shortly. For now the 5-of-a-kind pays are Blue Gem 3x bet, Orange 2x, Green 1.5x, Pink 1.4x and six card values pay from 0.7 down to 0.4x. Wild Diamonds can only appear on the top scroll and Glass scatters on all reels. Winning tiles are replaced from above in tumbles too.
Multiplier Reel
This is what they call the top scroll. Each spin, a Gem symbol including the Wild will land and display 1x. It will activate if it can form a win in combination with the symbols below. The Gem multiplier above the corresponding reel(s) will grow by 1x up to a maximum of 7x each use in a win and when the Gem is used in a win it also disappears and they slide across from the left with new Gems) added. So the top multiplier possible is 243x. The winning symbols will also divide into 2 on the centre reels of the main grid each time one is used in conjunction with the top reel. A Wild will split all 3 symbols below it into two.

You get 10 for 3 Glass scatters. Any multipliers in play above the reels are carried over and as you might guess, the top reel Gem multipliers don't reset between spins so hopefully you can get them all up to the maximum 7x quite quickly! Prism of Gems slot has a factory RTP of 96.25% and is a pretty good game considering it's a kind of Megaways rip-off. It's pleasant on the ears and eyes with decent animations too and you can land the odd good win in the base game. The free spins aren't that difficult to trigger but are very volatile so extra spins are always a boon to your chances of accumulating that huge total you dream of. Overall I was quite impressed with the game so this could well turn out to be a gem that all players seek...
