Fortunes of The Fox slot is yet another trademarked cartoon-style game with juvenile subject matter to be foisted upon the player under the guise of 'fun'. Playtech already have a similar theme in their Foxy Fortunes slot and this time we get a vixen who seems to have found a puppy friend as they chase each other around the green rural scene which forms the backdrop to the transparent reel set. Apparently they like camping too and cooking over an open fire to the accompaniment of silly sounds and childish musical strains. Are this unlikely pair going to cook up a feast for you?
On the reels...
There is a standard grid of 5 reels and 3 rows filled with single symbols over which we get 25 pay lines. There is a rather shady looking character in a white hat who may be a hunter or butterfly collector but whichever is the top pay of 200x bet for a full 5-of-a-kind win. The puppy offers 40x bet for the same and then the tent and camp fire both award 20x bet for the 5. The card values make up the rest with pays ranging from 3 to 6x stake.
The foxy vixen herself is the Wild which only appears on the centre 3 reels and doesn't expand or multiply but will trigger your free games if all 3 land. The final icon are the bunches of black grapes appearing on all reels paying 1x bet for any 2 up to 100x bet for all 5, with 3 or more triggering a ridiculous pick bonus.
Foxy free spins
Nothing too complicated here - landing all 3 Foxy Wilds will incur a bonus of 15 free games with all prizes tripled the same as say IGT's Cleopatra does. You can earn unlimited retriggers.
Grape Grab
3 or more bunches of black grapes will see you taken to a tree with 6 bunches of grapes hanging from a branch. Yes, I know they grow on vines but in the crazy world of bizarre slot themes there seems to be a lot of poetic licence. Anyway, a tiny trampoline appears under the branch and you select a bunch and Fox bounces up to grab it, each time getting a cash prize. If she fails to jump 6 times before the trampoline breaks some individual grapes will drop down on her collapsed form to top up the winnings collected.

Fortunes of The Fox slot doesn't have bad mechanics and I suppose some may forgive the infantile theme considering it's a trademarked game; alternatively some may have sympathy with Disney who won't allow their cartoon material to be merchandised for gambling-related uses. The RTP is a pretty average 95.11% and like many Playtech 25-lines, the bonuses tend to be relatively frequent and usually award something not too disappointing. There is some potential in the free games with the top pay of 200x possibly being trebled too. I can't say the game mechanics and features are bad, but fortunes or not I am not sure I can face this Fox for too long...
