A team of seasoned game developers and iGaming specialists helped establish Print Studios in 2020. Headquartered in St. Julian’s, Malta the company employs a team of around 50 staff, who are all involved in the production of slot games for real money play.
The company’s sole focus was to create slot games for players who may want a deeper engagement with their gameplay. They operate as an independent studio and developer, only building slot games for online play. All their titles are designed and created in-house by the company’s own teams.
Late bloomer
It was not until 2022 that the first of the Print Studios slots was released, in the form of Book of Destiny. The game managed to put Print Studios slots on the map as it helped the developer win the Slot Studio Debut award as the CasinoBeats Game Developer Awards.
The studio aims to release one slot game a month but sometimes the intervals between releases are longer and over the years, around 25 Print Studios games have been released since that first title. Some of the notable Print Studious slots released by the company over the years include Royal Potato, Royal Potato 2, Cash Defense, Holy Hand Grenade, Pine of Plinko, Pine of Plinko 2, Out of Thin Ice, Tarasque, and, Reapers, among others. Many of the above mentioned games were known for interesting gaming mechanics, some new features and engaging elements.
Engaging mechanics
Print Studios games are known for incorporating engaging gaming mechanics and over the years, it has come up with certain notable ones. One of those is the Super Spinners mechanic, which enables higher rewards by adding multipliers randomly to reel positions. It was introduced in the 2022 release Royal Potato and since been incorporated in other releases. Some of the other noted mechanics offered by Print Studios in its slots include Tower Defense Bonus Game, Jumbo Symbol & Explosive Features. In the 2023 release Pine of Plinko, Print Studios introduced Plinko Mechanics, which included cascading balls as well as certain bonus offerings for players.
Print Studious has also been successful in industry awards events and over the years, it has managed to bag some notable honours. In addition to the one mentioned above, Print Studios won the Most Streamed & Watched Slot (Tier 3) award for Cash Defense (Most Watched) and Holy Hand Grenade (Most Streamed) in June 2023 at the GamblingNews Awards. It was a Tier 3 category award for studios which release one slot each month. The studio won the Most Innovative Provider award at the Kongebonus Awards 2024 and named the Slot Provider of the Year 2023 by Online-Slot UK.
Print Studios operates under the regulatory framework of the noted iGaming hub Malta and at present, its games are available to players in excess of 60 countries. Its games are particularly popular in Australia, South America, Europe, Asia and Canada. The company develops its games for Relax Gaming.
