Spinions Beach Party slot summary
Spinions Beach Party slot brings us the summer holiday mood from Quickspin as we play over the background of a tropical paradise lined with palm trees and stacks of speakers you'd more likely find at Glastonbury than Goa. Happy disco music in the background will soon sour the mood though and you may be asking "what on earth are Spinions?" Well, they are silly little orange cartoon creatures which are obviously a take on 'Minions' in order to fit their slotting use. Brilliant, Quickspin. All we need to discover now is whether these Spinions will be calypso or calamity for our bankroll?
On the reels...
The usual grid of 5 reels and 3 rows is covered by 25 pay lines with all icons single. The Spinion is the Wild and appears on all reels paying 20x bet for 5-of-a-kind and treating you to a stupid animation if appearing in a win. Your champagne on ice is 8x, cocktail glass or melon 6x, pineapple or coconut 5x and the remainder are five card values all awarding 2.4x for a full line.
We do see a Wild feature though - if two or more appear in a spin regardless of whether they are involved in a win then you get a re-spin and this continues until no more Wilds appear on the grid and this is all part of the same spin. The same idea is used in Netent's Creature From The Black Lagoon slot.
Beach bonus
If you happen to see a Beach Club scatter on reels 1, 3 and 5 you will get 10 free games but no retrigger. Fear not, as the frequent Spinion Wilds will become sticky for the whole round and some decent accumulations of wins are likely!
Our View...
Spinions Beach Party slot is probably better then Netent's Beach but not as good as Playtech's Beach Life game. The volatility is very low and potential limited but the game mechanic isn't bad once you mute or reduce the terrible 1970's disco soundtrack. There is a good 96.05% RTP too and this makes up for the juvenile graphics and animations so loved by Swedish developers like Quickspin. Your holiday spending money should go a long way in this beach resort...
