Bally Wulff was created after the American slot machine manufacturer, Bally, acquired the German company, Gunter Wulff Apparatebau, in 1972. Bally later divested in 1991 and the German arcade operator Schmidt Group acquired the business. However, the company’s name remained Bally Wulff (Bally Wulff Games & Entertainment). The company is based in Berlin, Germany and focuses on the German and Spanish markets.

Online entry

In 2008, the company entered the online slots space and since then, it has released plenty of titles. The company made its name through its early fruit-themed titles, such as Explodiac, Magic Book, and Fruit Mania. The title that put Bally Wulff on the map was the ancient Egypt-themed Book of Ramses. Some other popular Bally Wulff online slots include Asena, Fancy Fruits, 40 Thieves, Explodiac, Fruit Mania, Magic Book, My Village and Cleopatra’s Crown, among others. Most of the Bally Wulff slot games are known for medium level volatility and RTP’s up to 96%.

Popular mechanics

While the company has made innovative adaptations of some existing gaming mechanics, it has also created two proprietary ones of its own. One of those is the Win Repeater. The mechanic allows players to stack the screen with matching symbols and repeat it 5 times. The increases the chances of a win in a solitary spin. The other mechanic developed by Bally Wulff is the Bursting Bomb Symbol mechanic. It activates a special feature which turns the symbols adjacent to the cell into wilds. The mechanic allows for greater chances of landing winning combinations, in theory. Other than these proprietary ones Bally Wulff online slot games also offer traditional slot mechanics with the company’s own spin.

The slot games developed by the company are available in more than 60 nations and is available across Asia, Europe, Canada and Australia. The company went into collaboration with GAMOMAT in 2008 for land-based games, and in 2014, the relationship expanded to online games. Many of its titles are also available under the GAMOMAT brand.
