EGT (Euro Games Technology) was founded in 2002 and started life building casino and gambling products for the Bulgarian market. The popularity of their games, especially their land based slot machines, meant the company quickly expanded beyond their native country of Bulgaria into other European, South American, African and Asian markets.

Anyone familiar with EGT slot machines will know that the company can be credited with being early adopters of innovative design and playing experiences. They were one of the first companies to produce ‘linked slots’, creating a focus on social play and multi-player behaviour – something that many other developers have since introduced. EGT were also quick to develop  terminal and cabinet interaction, such as touch screen capability and HD quality game visuals.

The investment in technology has paid off for EGT, as their land based casino games can be found in over 75 countries worldwide. The company is a prominent member of the Gaming Standards Association (GSA), demonstrating a willingness to promote and invest in the future of professional standards in the gaming industry.

In more recent times the Bulgarian company has  to online and mobile gaming products. EGT Interactive was set up to focus primarily on products to be served over the internet. As well as building the games, EGT Interactive provide the technology to support the content they are providing. This allows casino operators to plugin EGT games without the need to go through third party networks. Their slots in particular have proved popular online, with several of their land-based titles redeveloped to be played for real money on desktop, tablet and mobile devices. Examples include the Aztec-themed Rise of Ra and the historically-inspired The Story of Alexander as well as more classical looking slots machines such as Extremely Hot and Lucky and Wild.
