Mighty Griffin Megaways slot review
Mighty Griffin Megaways slot by Blueprint Gaming is well, I may as well tell you now, a copy of Wolf Legend Megaways slot but has the Jackpot King progressives linked to it. It looks good though with a picturesque mountain scene behind the reels and classic music as we spin those epic mythical symbols. Blueprint have released over 20 Megaways games to date making them the most prolific issuer of them and do love the classic themes as Gods of Olympus Megaways and especially the player's favourite Vikings Unleashed have shown us previously. So will the Griffin be winging a fortune the way of our bankroll here?
On The Reels...
All the usual applies here on Mighty Griffin Megaways slot with a scrolling reel of 4 tiles above the main grid resulting in 324 to 117,649 ways to win each spin. Symbols are stacked and single with winning ones replaced from above their reel and Wilds appearing on the top scrolling row. Scatters are the Griffin Rampant whereas the Wild is the Griffin flying! The 6-of-a-kind pays are 50x Griffin, 5x crown, 2.5x Ring, 2x Feather with 6 card values paying 1.5 down to 1x a full way. You get occasional Mystery Orbs appear which reveal the same symbol and don't guarantee a win.
You require 3 Griffin Rampant for at least 8 spins. You will go to a Golden Streak grid which has free spin quantity tiles on and will have the same ways in place as the triggering spin. Your scatters will display 1 to 5 spins each and they stay in place while the rest spin. Each tile landing adds spins and then sticks in place but you only get one chance so as soon as a spin doesn't add any more, the free games start. Don't worry, you'll get at least 8. You can gamble them on a segmented wheel and if you land in green, then you get another go at the Golden Streak grid to add more spins. You get the usual increasing multiplier for each winning action and now get Wilds on the main reels 2 to 6 as well as above. Get 3 or 4 more scatters on the scroll for 4 or 8 extra spins.
Mighty Griffin Megaways slot is a totally unnecessary edition - why did Blueprint not simply add Jackpot King to the existing Wolf Legend Megaways in a second version? That said, the graphics, sounds and animations are very good and bright although the 95.95% RTP does include a 0.49% progressive contribution. The base game is pretty standard in performance when you compare it to others of the same reel mechanics and of course there is huge potential in the bonus, with 50,000x theoretically possible or rather capped at that amount. I cannot think of any reason I'd choose this over more popular Megaways slots though...Review by Gamingslots
