Amazing Aztec’s slot review

Amazing Aztecs slot has been developed by Just For The Win through the Microgaming network. It takes us back in history to a period when the Aztec Empire stretched across Mexico. The legacy of the Aztec’s remains strong, with fine monuments, temples, jewellery and art very much appreciated to this day. What is also very noticeable is the influence the Aztec’s have had in slot games, examples include Betsoft’s Aztec Treasures, Play’n Go’s Aztec Idols and King of The Aztec’s from Barcrest. So will this latest Aztec-themed slot reveal hidden riches or leave our balance in ruins?

On the reels…
This slot has 5 reels, 4 rows and 243 ways to win, over a colourful and bright selection of reels. The lower paying symbols are block-style picture symbols that include lilies, marigolds, orchids, hibiscuses and tiger flowers. There are 4 Aztec characters; Chief, Hunter, Princess and Shaman. The highest paying symbol on the reels is the Amazing Aztecs logo symbol paying 10x your bet for 5-of-a-kind.

Re-spin feature
Amazing Aztecs includes a re-spin feature which can be triggered on any winning combination. Should a symbol in the winning combination be illuminated, then the feature will be activated. The chosen symbol will be turned into a giant block of either 2 by 2, 3 by 3 and 4 by 4 in size. This block will then spin vertically until it lands in place, potentially creating some big winning opportunities.

Our View…
Amazing Aztecs slot is a very easy slot to understand and play and offers up to 824x your stake in a single spin. However, for lovers of free spins bonus features, this game may not be to your liking. It appears Microgaming’s key to success in the future is teaming up with these smaller developer studios like Just for The Win. This game is imaginative, exciting and entertaining, which can not be said about a lot of Microgaming slots for a good while. I will certainly be beating a trail in search of these Aztec riches…
