Hotline slot appears to offer something very different and comes with an original theme. However, once you scrape the surface and give this game a proper go, you soon get the feeling this is more mediocre gameplay from NetEnt. The whole choosing your variance feature, just seems a clever way to get you to increase your betting and I have seen little evidence that it genuinely increases your chances of a big win. Saying that, the RTP is improved somewhat if playing 3 hotlines. It goes from 96.13% for 1 hotline to 97.04% for 3 hotlines - that doesn't sound a lot, but it does make a difference as with the bonus bet in slots like Rainbow Riches Fortune Favours. If you are into fast cars with your slots then I would personally be more tempted by Drive: Multiplier Mayhem, as Hotline feels a bit trapped in the past.
