Ozzy Osbourne slot by Netent is their fourth dedicated game with a heavy rockin' theme from a copyrighted artist, obviously not wanting to be outdone by their Swedish counterparts at Play'n Go whose latest is Black Mamba. Netent have previously given us the heaviest of all slots, Motorhead and who can forget their Guns'n Roses with possibly less good music but a far better mechanic. On The Reels...
We start on Ozzy Osbourne slot with 20 pay lines over 5 reels of 3 rows each and you pay 20 coins to spin, but can opt to double this to 40 as a bonus bet, which enhances multipliers in the free games feature and gets you more free games too. Symbols are stacked and you get a Bat Wild which can appear anywhere and presumably pays the same for 5-of-a-kind as the top symbol, Red Ozzy at 50x bet. Yellow Ozzy is 20x, Green 15x, Blue 12.5x, raven or Skull 7.5x and finally Crucifix or Rose 5x for a full line.

Symbol Charge Up Re-spins
Should you get just the two scatters on the reels you get a spin of the two single-tile reels displayed to the left and right of the grid. The left reel will land on one random standard symbol of the 8 possible. The right one will either land on a Wild, Gold Coin 2x or 3x multiplier or upgrade.
Wild - the selected symbol turns Wild on all the reels before they slowly spin to a stop.
Gold Coin - every incidence of the selected symbol in view when the reels stop will pay its 3-of-a-kind award.
Multiplier - will multiply any wins with that symbol, 2x or 3x but if you pay the bonus bet it's 5x or 7x.
Upgrade - the selected symbol upgrades to the next highest on everywhere on the reels.
Free Games
You get 4, or 5 if using bonus bet. You need the Iron Man scatter on reels 1, 3 and 5. Before each spin you get the Symbol Charge Up applied and this time you can get the scatter on the left reel which gives 1 extra free spin. All the Symbol Charge Ups are sticky for the remaining spins so it's possible to get 4 or 5 symbols with enhancements and if the same one is selected twice and the right reel adds a multiplier to it more than once, the values are added which are 2x or 3x but 5x or 7x if bonus bet is used. This is a good fun bonus and does have some potential, but not huge and you can enjoy the music while it plays out!
Our View...
Ozzy Osbourne slot is superbly done as far as graphics, sounds, music and animations go as you would expect from a licensed theme. The RTP is 96.30% with basic 20-coin bets and 96.67% with bonus bet which does make the game more fun in my opinion. You'll not get huge wins on it and sadly the volatility is the total opposite to that of Ozzy himself, very low. You will get good tracks, great visuals but the maths makes this game more about entertainment than the chance to leave with any significant increase to your balance.
