Sugar Trail slot summary
Veteran slots developer Quickspin should have renamed this 5 reel, 40 payline slot 'Sickly Sugary Icky Sticky Trail' rather than just the standard Sugar Trail, so loaded is it with Care Bear lookalikes, sticks of candy and every colour on the palette. I'm fairly sure we've all landed in Katy Perry's California Gurls music video!
Sugar Trail goes where perhaps only Leander Games with their bizarre childlike Glutters slot and Probability with their Sweet Treats game have gone before. We are talking about borderline childish themes here with an emphasis on those cuddly creatures and sugary treats that we'd flock to as kids.
Sugary Sweet but Hard to Beat?
The slot is all about a family of juicy gummy bears who populate this tripped out rainbow world. There's a prince, Queen and King gummy bear which help activate bonus features, as well as a selection of sweets and standard 10-through-Ace symbols to fill the reels out.
Just Your Average Wild... Or Is It?
The Wild sign substitutes for all regular symbols in the game, other than the Bonus icons and Scatters, in order to complete any potential winning combinations that might appear across the reels on a single spin. You can never bemoan an instant win feature on a slot, even if the pay outs are not great. They are features you will find commonly in Microgaming slots. Overall, then, this is a nice-looking game that fans of the cute factor will lap up. It certainly won't be to everyone's taste, but with three bonus games (albeit ones that are hard to trigger) there's enough to warrant a look. As mentioned above, if you liked the Glutters slot and have a soft spot for the Sweet Party slot by Playtech then you might just enjoy this.
