twitter website

On Tuesday 16th December, 2014 at 9:30am, OpenBet took control of the eGaming Review Twitter account and answered questions on a number of topics, from the companies plans for the future, to predictions on the next manager at Arsenal FC. All you needed to do was add the #askopenbet to ask them something.

OpenBet, who provide slots, as well as a number of other gaming services, has been established since 1996. It supplies to some of the biggest casino operators in the gaming industry such as Paddy Power, William Hill, and Sky Vegas.

OpenBet have released a number of own-branded slots including the unmistakeable The Hoff slot and the movie-inspired Robocop slot to ensure that it has left its footprint on the slots industry.

Here are some of the highlight questions that were answered during OpenBet’s takeover of the eGaming Review Twitter account #askopenbet

Gamingslots: Morning. What OpenBet-branded slots do you have planned for release in 2015?

OpenBet: Our focus is on our partners and third party content. So we can offer best of breed to our customers.

Gamingslots: Will OpenBet be sending representation to ICE 2015 in London next February?

OpenBet: We certainly will! ICE 2015 looks set to be one of our most exciting shows yet.

Gamingslots: Is it fair to consider Electracade, Chartwell etc as OpenBet or will they keep their original brand identities?

OpenBet: Chartwell is not an OpenBet company but Electracade is part of OpenBet brand as is NT Media.

Gamingslots: Have you made plans for an entrance back into the US if it becomes regulated?

OpenBet: We are already in the US with our retail products; OpenBet Promote. We are cautious in our approach to the US. With regards to online gaming and will wait to see what regulation holds in 2015.

Anonymous email question: Do you see POC as a threat or an opportunity?

OpenBet: It is an opportunity.. focuses operators on greater efficiency and stronger innovation in product.

@mkodo: In terms of growth, globally, for online gaming which areas, geographically, do you feel have most potential over next couple of years?

OpenBet: The opportunity is global with growth in Europe, Australia, Canada and markets currently reviewing regulation like the US or or South America. Convergence between land based and online is the big opportunity in some of these markets.

Anonymous email question: Do you think suppliers are holding the growth of mobile casino back?

OpenBet: The market needs more innovative mobile content faster than it is being developed. Mobile is a key growth area for 2015.

Anonymous email question: What are the main areas of focus for OpenBet in 2015?

OpenBet: Main focus is growing the multi channel/ convergence offering. A focus on player analytics and targeted cross channel and cross product promotions. Growing our partner led casino and driving innovation in the retail/ land based gaming space.

Conclusions

So there you have it, an innovative approach by OpenBet to engaging with partners, brands, affiliates and customers using the popular EGaming Review Twitter feed. We have learnt that OpenBet will be focusing their attention on third party content from partners like Aristocrat and IGT and Leander Games.
They will be taking a cautious approach to markets like North and South America, whilst continuing to focus on core markets like Europe, Australia and Canada. They don’t see the UK Government’s new Point of Consumption tax a threat, but more of an opportunity. ObenBet also want to see more innovation in mobile after claiming there will be growth in this market in 2015.

They will certainly be attending ICE Expo 2015 and we are looking forward to catching up with them there.
