Mustang Money slot summary
Mustang Money slot joins the 100-line Ainsworth collection in what I believe is their best format, to sit alongside games such as Dragon Lines and Stormin' 7's. Like other slots in the Ainsworth portfolio, Mustang Money started out life in land based casinos and have been subsequently redeveloped for online play. Here we find ourselves in the American Prairies of the West with the mighty Mustang taking centre stage. This wild theme is a a bit of a popular one with developers as seen in slots like Nextgen's Wildcat Canyon or IGT's Wolf Run! Here though it's only the Mustang or Bald Eagle you'll find on the reels set over a spectacular desert sunset, so can you break in this wild beast, or will it break our bankroll?

The format here is a whopping 100 pay lines over 5 reels of 3 rows each, so we effectively get the maximum lines on this format before it would turn into a 243-way game. The Mustang is a wild beast on more ways than one as it appears stacked on reels 3, 4 and 5 as a Wild and we are treated to a fancy animation as it rears up and whinnies when involved in any wins. With 100 lines we aren't going to get huge 5-of-a-kind pays so the highest is the $ symbol at 10x, Mesa at 3x, Eagle or Camp Fire 2x and Cactii at 1.5 for a full line. As is usual with Ainsworth there are six card values which all pay 1x for a full line.
You can exceed this and get 100x bet if you trigger the feature with 5 scatters and this is where the fun begins..
Mustang Multiplier spins
Three or more of the game's Mustang Money logo scatters will award you 10 free games. You can retrigger them but only get 5 extra ones rather than the full 10, and the reels are changed too because we now get multipliers. You lose the stacked Mustang Wilds from reels 4 and 5 but instead get stacked Coin Wilds on reels 2 and 4 to hopefully surround the remaining Mustang on reel 3. When these stacked Coin Wilds count in a win on reel 2 they will reveal either a 1 or 2x multiplier and on reel 4 a 1x or 5x multiplier. This means it is possible to get 10x on some wins if they both appear and turn the right way for you!
Our View...
Mustang Money slot is probably the best Ainsworth online game I've played. The RTP isn't the greatest at 94.38% but the 100-line format seems to supply continuous wins in the 2-15x bet range for that all-important maintenance of our balance. The graphics and animations on the Mustang wins are superb which is a positive as these Wild wins are very frequent too plus the free spins aren't too hard to trigger. I found the free games are fun and quite exciting because unlike many Ainsworth slots firstly the line pays are not reduced for the bonus and secondly you can actually win over 100x bet! If you're going to play games from this famous Australian developer, then this Mustang may be easier to tame than you think...
