6 Wild Sharks slot review

6 Wild Sharks slot by 4ThePlayer is just as innovative as their excellent 2 Gods slot and brings a new level of player choice and risk into online slotting. If you like Push Gaming's Razor Shark slot or possibly Pariplay's rather silly Sharknado slot, you'll have an idea of the graphics here but not the mechanic as that's quite unique. Unsurprisingly a seascape makes the background to the game and we get the Jaws movie-style music when the game is idle, with banging sounds as the reels stop. So will our bankroll become shark food or can we avoid the perils of the deep here?

On The Reels...

There are 4096-ways on 6 Wild Sharks slot, hence 6 reels of 4 rows each which feature stacked symbols. The game is split into 3 pairs of 2 reels, with reels 1,2 and 5,6 being Wild Zones where the stacked Shark Wilds can land or where the sticky Wilds can fall, but we will get to that option shortly. The 6-of-a-kind wins are 30x Lady Surfer, 6x Diver, 4x Squid, 2.5x Stingray, or Tuna with 5 card values paying either 1.5 or 1.2x for a full way. You have scatters only on reels 3 and 4 in the form of Buoys and no random modifiers, but there are two modes you can play in.

Play Modes

Classic Mode is simply a normal stake with natural spins and results.
Advanced Mode - here you can choose 1 to 6 positions from the first and/or last Wild Zones to become sticky Wilds for that spin. Obviously locking 2 on each of the first two reels and one on each of the last 2 is the most expensive at 36x bet, 3 on each of the first 2 reels the same at 36x bet, with prices per Wild varying according to the 6 positions you choose. This feature is not available to UK players.

Free Games

There are two types, one in Advanced Mode and one in Classic Mode, and both require the Buoy scatters on the center 2 reels.
Advanced Mode Spins - you've locked in 6 Wilds already, and now you get 10 free spins with those Wilds sticky, plus any more Wilds landing will be sticky too. You get 3 extra spins for 2 more scatters appearing. In Advanced Mode, you don't see the stacked Wilds in either the base game or free spins but some big totals often occur depending on where you had the Wilds on the triggering spin.
Classic Mode Spins - you get 15 spins and again no stacked Wilds can appear. You get sticky Wilds and 3 extra spins for a retrigger. You can though choose to exchange your spins for sticky Wilds as in the Advanced Mode base game and if you choose the optimum 6 on reels 1 and 2 or cover all 4 reels in the Wild Zones you will get just the one spin, but anything in between depending on how many Wilds you choose and where you place them. Obviously placing them all on the first 2 reels will give smaller wins, on the last 2 reels few wins but big ones!

Our View...

6 Wild Sharks slot has a 96.50% RTP or 97.00% if you play in Advanced Mode all the while. The idea is great as you can still get great free spin options and big wins in Classic Mode as well as Advanced Mode (if allowed in your jurisdiction) and the sticky Wild mechanic is always exciting as you may know from other slots. The base game does kick in a surprising number of decent wins and the feature isn't hard to trigger, with a potential of over 10,000x bet although realistically 1-2000x bet would be a more likely result on a very good feature. The game has good sounds, graphics, and animations and you may well snatch a profit here from the jaws of defeat...
