Book of Oz slot has been built by Microgaming's in-house studio Triple Edge and if the word 'Book' in the title makes your eyes roll slightly then you might want to turn away now. On The Reels...
Book of Oz slot has exactly the same 10-line grid over 5 reels of 3 rows each and exactly the same pays as dear old Ra. All symbols appear singly, Wilds are on all reels and substitute as scatters too with 500x the top 5-of-a-kind pay, in this case for the Magician. The Golden Lion pays 200x, red or pink Potion Bottles 75x with five card values at 15x for A or K and 10x for the Q, J or 10. Wilds have no pay other than as scatters and all 5 in view pays 200x, but you only need 3 for the bonus trigger.
Free Games
There is one small difference that is present on Book of Oz - you have the usual 10 spins for 3 scatters but 4 will award 12 free games and all of them will give you 25. The Book may look different but we know it's the same old story within as the pages turn to award one of the 9 possible symbols as an expanding scatter pay for the duration of the bonus. Rettriggers are possible as per normal and the best win is 5,000x bet if you get a full screen of the top Magician icon.

Book of Oz slot is actually quite playable as it looks and sounds very good and as with the Book Of Dead slot but not Book Of Ra, you get your selected scatter pay any line wins in the feature before expanding. This makes the RTP a bit better at 96.31% or 95.00% with optimal use of the reel-buys. The sounds in the free spins and coin graphics are uncannily similar to Book Of Dead too! It was only a matter of time before Microgaming got on the expanding scatters bandwagon and this becomes round about the 70th. version of this game I've seen across all developers! Do we need another one, probably not but if the players like them, who am I to complain......
