Football Fans slot summary
With the Brazil World Cup coming to an end (apologies if you're reading this in 2015) it's a good time to check out a sports-themed slot from Playtech which celebrates the people who make football such an incredible game - the refs. Just kidding, it's the fans.
The Reels...
Football Fans is a 5-reel, 20-payline slot which interestingly lets you choose a country flag before you begin. All icons on the reels will then be decked out in your national colours, be it Brazil, Germany or England.
Grab a Cold One and Earn 3x Your Bet
Before each spin as well, you will notice the gold 'Cold Beer' circle floating about. Simply select one of the 15 icons and if a beer icon lands in your circle you'll win 3x your total bet. This is similar to Playtech's comics-themed Daredevil online slot.
The Symbols
The reels are fun and fast, with some cartoony 9-through-Ace symbols, a top hat and scarf, some wildly celebrating fans, female fans in football bras (nice touch, Playtech) and, of course, the 9-through-Ace symbols decked out in your country colours.
The football is Wild and substitutes for all regular symbols in the game other than the Scatters. Five Wilds pays out a 5,000x line bet jackpot.
Find the Fans to Win 10 Free Spins
Three or more Football Fans logos anywhere on the reels triggers a free spins bonus round with Random Wilds.
10 spins are awarded and after each spin, penalty kicks turn symbols into Wilds at random (anywhere from 0 to 3).
Random Wilds Add to the Action
Random Wilds substitute for all icons other than the Scatters.
As with these kinds of Playtech slots online, a further 10 spins can be triggered during the bonus round.
Our View...
That's about it for bonus features in the game, but - as with other similar Playtech slots - there's plenty of action to enjoy.
The Daredevil-esque 'bullseye' feature and the free spins round (reminiscent of Playtech's film-themed Rocky online slot) should keep all Playtech fans occupied for a while. And with the World Cup coming to an end (apologies to all readers this from the year 2016) this should fill the sports-related slots gap quite nicely.
