Software provider Playtech has been a bit of a strange one for me. Back in the days when I could play their slots at home on my pc they had a fairly average selection of slot games to choose from, with nothing really standing out and saying ‘Play me!’. Now that I can’t play their games in my own home, due to changes in US gaming laws in 2006, that saw Playtech pull out of our country, the company has come up with some fantastic online video slots. Tie ups with movie studios have seen the release of King Kong and the movie-themed Gladiator slot, which are both excellent in my opinion. There are also a range of Marvel slots, such as Iron Man 2 – featuring Tony Stark, The Incredible Hulk and the superb Fantastic Four slot.
These slot games and several others have really pushed Playtech to the forefront of video slots entertainment and as a result they are being replacing the existing software at many well established online casinos. Playtech currently offer around 100 slots, which is more than enough for any player.
The UK based company doesn’t just focus on slots though and have dealings in virtually every form of online gaming out there. The company has agreed lucrative deals to provide software, technology and expertise in poker, bingo, live dealer games, sportsbook and lottery. They have deals with some of the largest land based gambling businesses, including several state-owned operations.
However, the company wasn’t always able to pick and choose who they worked with and they do have a few operators using their software that I wouldn’t sign up to. This is mainly because of the time these operators take to process documentation and more importantly withdrawals. Several forums have comments about time delays at a few of these Playtech casinos, which really should not happen. Gamingslots will only recommend online casinos that I have played at which I can say I have had a positive experience with. The good news is that most Playtech-powered casinos are perfectly fine, the bad news is that you can’t play at them at present if you are living in the US.
