Sweet Party slot review

Sweet Party SlotIf you've enjoyed (if that's the word) Leander Games's Glutters game, you'll no doubt be a fan of cutesy graphics and psychedelic colours in your online slots.

Taking those same colours and retro confectionary themes are Playtech, whose Sweet Party slot is packed with juicy sweets.
The symbols are classic multi-coloured jelly sweets and bonbons from a sweet shop. Over the top are jolly tinkly music to put you in the mood.

The Reels...
Here's where the similarities with any classic slot ends. Rather than standard paylines, you will see on-screen a 5x5 grid. The more symbols you hit on the 5x5 grid after each spin, the more cash you win. 16 or more of a particular sweet will bag you the biggest jackpot of 5,000x your bet.

Match the Sweets
Bear in mind you have to match five or more of the same symbol adjacent to one another (not diagonal) to win. However, match eight or more stripy red n' white lollipops and you'll win a percentage of the game's jackpot.

This grows depending on your bet size, so the higher you bet the more you win. A $1 bet, then, pays out 10% of the jackpot pot; a $10 bet, meanwhile, pays out 100% of the jackpot.

Forget About Pay-Lines
It's an interesting notion having the non-standard paylines. You half-expect the game to have exploding reels to allow winning combos to make way for symbols dropping down into place from above.

No Bonus Features... Suck On That!
Despite there being no bonus features, Scatters, Wilds, or anything as exciting as Cascading Reels, Sweet Party is fun to play and it looks great. The symbols are housed in an old-fashioned sweet dispenser, with lollipop trees dotted around a Super Mario-esque background.

Our View...
There are also handy mobile casino-like AutoPlay and Bet amount buttons to the right of the screen, together with a display showing your win amount. This will no doubt be one of those slots that will tear it up on the tablets, but for online it's perfectly acceptable for passing a few hours.
