Fairy Gate slot summary
Fairy Gate slot displays a theme so loved by Scandinavian developers like our Swedish friends Quickspin, a fantasy world of little people straight from a child's storybook as we have also seen with Netent's 'Fairytale Legends' series like Red Riding Hood and Hansel and Gretel. In actual fact this game looks more like IGT's Pixies of The Forest blended with WMS's Fairy's Fortune having the cartoon forest background and gentle classical music soundtrack plus an all-female cast of characters. By the reels you see a large tree with doors, so could that be the gate that leads us to a fortune here?
On the reels...
Our game begins with 20 pay lines over 5 reels of 3 rows each and with the icons on a purple background of which all appear stacked except the Wilds and scatters. Wilds pay us 20x bet for a 5-of-a-kind win as does the Red Fairy, with the Pink Fairy at 15 and the Green or Blue Fairy awarding 10x bet. There four card values with Ace paying 3x and the others 2x, but these wins can be assisted with our random in-play Wilds feature.
On any spin, the reels may carry on spinning and the gate in the tree to the right of the reels will glow with a white light and may or may not open. If it does open, you'll see two reels spinning with either blanks or Fairy orbs on them. Each Fairy Orb has 2 to 5 stars inside it, and you can stop one in view on each reel but may also get none or just one on one reel. You will then see the Stars emerge and turn random positions on the grid into Wilds (unless there is a Wild already in that position from the triggering spin). This means you can get from 2 to 10 extra Wilds should at least one Orb land in the gate and after being paid the win you'll also get at least one re-spin with another Gate chance afterwards! You keep re-spinning until there is a spin with no orbs landing in the Gate.
Fairy Wild free spins
A Fairy bonus scatter on all 3 middle reels will trigger 10 free spins which cannot be retriggered, but as you've possibly guessed the Gate will be open and the two Orb reels spinning on each and every free game. You'll get quite a few spins where not even one Orb lands in view, but this can a decent feature and you have a better chance of the slot's 400x bet maximum pay during it.

Fairy Gate slot is yet again a questionable theme to have on a gambling game, but at least the graphics, sounds and animations are done well here. The base game is quite frequent in awarding the random Gate spins although free spins can be hard to trigger and often pay less combined than one good Gate spin in the base game. The RTP is very good though at 96.66% and the slot reminds of a very slightly more volatile version of Starburst in the way it performs. The fairies here definitely don't control the gate to riches, but for some it'll be fun to see what lies beyond it...
