Sticky Sevens Megaways slot review
Sticky Sevens Megaways slot by Skywind is another version of Pragmatic Play's The Dog House Megaways so nothing new here. Well, alright, the theme is retro with funky techno music and old style symbols over a plain blue pattern. So in terms of the mechanic, a step down from ALIVE! Megaways and like their first MW edition Book of Gems Megaways it is essentially a copy. So can we stick some wins to our bankroll here or will it knock seven shades out of it?
On the reels...
All very simple with no top scroll and 6 reels offering 2-7 symbols therefore we have 64-117649 ways on Sticky Sevens Megaways slot. No modifiers and no tumbles after wins but the single Wild 7's that appear on reels 25 can offer a 2 or 3x multiplier thus a possible 81x. That's a good job as the symbol pays are low with Bar 7.5x stake for 6-of-a-kind, Bell 3x, Melon 2x, Lemon, Orange or Cherries 1.5x and five card values at 1 or 0.5x bet. Your scatters are Diamonds and the feature can be purchased for 100x bet in some jurisdictions although in all you can opt for the Ante Bet and pay 25 coins instead of the basic 20 to have a doubled chance of landing them.
You need 3 to 6 scatters and get a choice of two features. Each one has a 4-level wheel which spins to decide the spin quantity and each scatter over the 3 takes you up a level where the range of spin amounts is higher. Getting to level 4 or landing a 6-scatter trigger will automatically grant you the maximum allowed and there's no extra spins or retriggers here. So for example, the usual 3-scatter trigger will offer you at least 7 spins or 15 spins from level one of the wheel (depending on which feature you choose) and it might land on a level-up position which advances you inwards on the wheel for a higher range of spin amounts. A 4-scatter trigger would start you off on the second level, 5-scatters the third. Your choices are:
Sticky Wilds - you get at least 7 and a maximum of 20 spins and any wilds landing will remain in place for the duration at whichever multiplier they appear at whether 1, 2 or 3x and more than one can land per reel. This is the most volatile choice by far!
Random Wilds - you get 15 to 30 spins and each spin will add none or 1-6 Wilds to the grid.
Sticky Sevens Megaways slot has a 96.50% RTP which is funnily enough the same as on The Dog House Megaways game from Pragmatic. Other than that, it's not terrible to play if a little basic looking and you may get a lucky perm of multiplying Wilds in the base game. The random Wild free games are not usually productive but are a safer bet for a reasonable payback than the very volatile Sticky Wild spins which I must say will pay next to nothing if only getting 7 spins which is the most common outcome after a trigger. If you get 12+ spins and get 3 or 4 reels with multipliers on early, you'll have a chance of hitting the capped maximum of 10,000x stake. A very, very small one. Whether you stick with these sevens is up to you...
