Money Heat is an online slot from the underrated developer Ainsworth that has snuck under the radar and been released online with little more than a whisper to let slots players know about its launch.

This is a 5 reel, 50 pay-line slot with a theme based on money and fire. It has a similar feel to Ainsworth’s other slot release Dragon Lines but there are some stark differences asides from the theme. However, the layout and design of the reels appear to be in a template format for Ainsworth slots.
The Symbols (Generally in a Gold Ring of Fire!)
Symbols on this slot include some dollar notes that are encircled by a gold ring that is on fire, some bars of gold, some dice that are given the gold ring on fire treatment, some casino chips… yes, you’ve guessed, they are also surrounded by a gold ring on fire, and some playing cards… yes, they are encircled by that fiery gold ring too. There are also the standard 9 through to Ace symbols on the reels.
Hit the Money Heat to Win at Least 10 Free Spins
The Scatters are represented by the Money Heat gold coins and if you hit three or more of these across the reels then you will trigger the free spins bonus round. You will be initially awarded 10 free spins but if you hit three or more Money Heat gold coin Scatters across the reels during the free spins then you will win an additional 5 free spins.
There's a 5x Multiplier Up For Grabs!
The Wild symbol is represented by the gold dollar sign icon. It substitutes for all other symbols, except for the Scatters, to complete winning combinations. During the free spins bonus round, the Wild will appear on reel 3 and if you hit any winning combinations with the Wild symbols then you will earn a 5x multiplier on your wins.
In addition, a bonus reel can pop up to give you the chance to increase your winnings. If a “x2” symbol appears anywhere on the bonus reel then all wins during the free spins bonus round will be doubled. If a “x3” symbol appears then wins will be tripled and if a “x5” symbol appears then wins will be multiplied by 5.
Our View...
Money Heat is not one of the most outstanding slots I’ve played recently and to be honest it is easy to see how it used to be a decent land-based slot. It does feel a bit behind the times though. Ainsworth could have been more creative and added a bonus feature to evolve it slightly for the online market but they’ve almost made a complete transition from its land-based predecessor and, for me, it falls a bit short.
