Knockout Diamonds slot by Elk Studios is one of those 3-reel efforts that some developers make incorporating features that bring an extra aspect to traditional basic slots. Play'n Go did with Eye of the Kraken slot and the weirdly-themed Charlie Chance game, while we've even had 3-reel Megaways, such as StakeLogic's Super Joker Megaways slot. Here we get a no-frills boxing ring background, retro symbols and basic sounds, nothing more. So can we knock out some good wins here or will our bankroll be hitting the canvas?
On the reels...
You get just the one pay line here with 3-of-a-kind wins at 3x Cherries, 5x Mixed Bars, 10x Blue Bars, 15x Green, 25x Pink, 50x Bells, 75x Red Sevens and finally 100x Wilds. You get 2x for just any two Knockout symbols and 3 of these are what we require for the game's feature trail. Wilds don't count for the Knockout symbols though, but you can get 2x or 3x Wilds on reel 3.
Ringside Rumble
Should you land 3 symbols identical in view on reels one and two, i.e. the pay line matches plus the row above and below, you get 3 re-spins with them locked and spin reel 3. no wins are guaranteed, but it will award the feature even if the initial trigger paid a win with a 3OAK.
Free Spins
You need 3 Knockout symbols on the pay line. You get 3 free spins which are reset to 3 each time a win occurs or a Knockout lands on the pay line anywhere. As well as any free spin winnings, you get a scaled prize for how many Knockout symbols you collect before the end. You get 5x bet for the initial 3 symbols, 10x bet for 4 collected, 100x for 7, 500x for 9 and top prize of 2500x for 10, when you have reached maximum pay and collect. There are of course other fixed awards for the numbers between 4 and 10 I didn't mention.
Our View...
Knockout Diamonds slot is actually very good fun with some nice streaks possible in the base game and regular Rumble features. It has good sound effects and animations too as well as a 96.00% RTP. The feature takes some getting but can prove exciting and rack up some good totals even if you don't get near the top 2500x prize. For me, this slot's a real knockout...
