Our Days slot review

our days slot gameOur Days slot by Microgaming has a weird cartoon theme which seems to pertain to childhood schooldays and has some odd symbols including an open lunchbox and jar full of paper stars. The background for the transparent reels is an empty school classroom and we are treated to some gentle romantic musical ambience to set our mood for - well, I'm not quite sure what. The characters are of the same ilk that Netent use on Koi Princess and the Fairytale Legends series, so will this rather odd bunch of characters mean detention or tuck shop for our bankroll?

On The Reels...
The pay tables of Our Days slot read like a horror story. There are 243-ways to win over 5 reels of 3 rows and symbols can appear stacked on all reels including the Wild which uses the game logo. The pays, relating to your 30-coin bet are as follows, if you can bear to examine them - Wild or Red Girl 3x bet or 90 coins, Yellow or Purple Girl 75, Green Girl or Blue Boy 60, Lunchbox or Jar 42, Locked Diary or Crochet Scarf 36 and Love Letter 30. Now as with games such as Jack Hammer you get a respin on winning combinations but NOT of all losing tiles, only those on reels 4 and or 5 depending if your triggering win was a 3 or 4OAK. So yes, non-counting tiles on the reels which hold the win remain in place!

Free Games
Should you land 3,4 or 5 Lover Statues you will earn yourself 8,10 or 12 free spins respectively. There are no retriggers but only the 4 highest symbols and Wilds can appear on the reels. How scintillating it is to watch as those micro-wins rack up and earn you a small win overall.

Our View...
It's hard to believe a big developer like Microgaming that has in the past given us classics such as Break Da Bank Again, Immortal Romance and Thunderstruck can put their name to dross like this, whomever the in-house studio may be. It's got very low potential, the respins are excruciating to observe and even if it had 100% RTP as opposed to its 96.35% I would need to be under some kind of coercion to ever play it. The theme is ropy, the music wearisome and the appearance terrible. I have heard it said that schooldays were the best days of your life - well, not if you ever attended this one.....
