Banana Odyssey slot by Microgaming has been developed by an in-house smaller studio provider for their platform, Slingshot Gaming. Then again, so has virtually every release in the last two years, from All41's Le Kaffe Bar, Fortune Factory's Village People and Triple Edge Studio's Book of Oz. These range between adequate and lamentable so it doesn't set a favourable tone here although I hope I am wrong. I hoped indeed, but immediately the juvenile appearance and silly music assail your senses and I'm not even sure where the bananas fit in here, although there are what appear to be a few stupid-looking primates on the reels. So will this game be an odyssey for our bankroll, or an ordeal?
On The Reels...
We have stacked symbols apparent on this 10-line game of 5 reels and 3 rows. Banana Odyssey slot pays both ways and has an expanding Wild so I have a feeling already as to which slot has been the 'inspiration' here. The Red or the Green creature is 10x bet for a full 5-of-a-kind, then some kind of Zapper 8x, Jar of Nuts 6x with four card values paying from 3.5x down to 2 for a full line. To say Banana Odyssey slot is rubbish would be an understatement. It has absolutely nothing going for it, nada, zilch. It seems the free games have been tacked on to somehow disguise the fact it's a Starburst rip-off and if that wasn't enough the music and graphics are utter trash. It's a damning indictment of some big developers that they'd even allow their name to be associated with such tripe. I really can't bring myself to say much more other than you'd have to be bananas to play the bloomin' game...
