Kaiju slot is an Elk Studios game with a futuristic Sci-Fi theme. Set in the South Pacific in the last human settlement left on the planet. It follows the journey of a female cyborg, known only as HA-42, whi is desperately trying to save humankind from extinction. Well, if that hasn’t wetted your appetite, then I don’t know what will! The game itself is graphically superb, with lots of really clever details. The continual non-offensive sound track loops throughout play, constantly reminding you that its set in the future. Similar to that of slots like Net Ent’s Elements or even their popular Starburst game. So will HA-42 also save our balance from destruction, or is it doomed like the humans?
This is a 5 reel slot game with 3 rows and up to 7,776 paylines. However, that is only achievable if extra rows are added, which is only really in the feature. Typically Kaiju plays more like a 243 ways to win slot and should be treated as such. Top paying symbols on the reels are the red crystals, paying 300 coins for a 5-of-a-kind (5OAK). The lowest paying is the 90 identity card, offering 90 coins for a 5OAK.
Should you get any combination of symbols forming a line, either straight or diagonally in a vertical direction then a Wild will appear above that row. This can then create more winning possibilities it becomes part of a new win line.
Your battle with the Kaiju takes place in the feature and is triggered when HA-42 lands on reels 2, 3 and 4 in the same spin. This will trigger 7 free spins, with extra free spins available throughout the feature. One of the Kaiju is selected at random and is selected from the red, green or blue gems. Depending on the Kaiju, a certain combination of coloured gems will activate positions above the standard 3 rows. Extra Wilds, symbols and additional free spins can be collected as the reels grow bigger and remain through the feature.
Kaiju slot initially appeared to be full of promise, however a decent playing session reveals that this is a low to medium variance game with not a great deal going on. The feature was easily triggered, but offering little in the way of rewards and I soon lost interest. Elk Studios have given this a promising 96.3% RTP, but I could only see this of any benefit if you were trying to grind a bonus out. Elk Studios have made some fantastic games in the past, such as Taco Brothers, Wild Toro and Electric Sam, but this one is not one of their best. I would say humankind is in danger if we are relying on the winning possibilities from Kaiju…
