The UK-based company Ash Gaming is part of a new breed of slot game developers who exclusively built slots for the online environment.
Founded in 2000, the award-winning firm has built a small portfolio of fun and interactive slot games with a strong theme. The company has also built a range of other casino games including video poker, instant wins and table games.
In 2011 Ash was purchased by leading casino software business Playtech for around $30 million. Despite the takeover, all Ash’s slots have retained the Ash Gaming branding. The developer has been free to add to its burgeoning portfolio.
Ash Gaming stands out from the crowd for the originality of its games. For instance, their War of the Worlds slot manages to incorporate some of the freakiness of the original story within a fun game, while Alice’s Wonderland and Midas Millions have become firm favourites with slots fans.
Meanwhile, big-name TV tie-ins like X Factor, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and Britain’s Got Talent capture the excitement of the popular shows for a new online slots audience.
Despite playing in Flash and being relatively easy to play, where Ash’s games fall down a little is they can be bit simplistic for some tastes.
However, in this age of quick thrills, Ash Gaming have carved themselves a nice little niche in online slots development.
